WORKING MOMS
{ Planning Session for a Working Mom Community Builder }
WHAT WE BUILT
We untangled the practical pieces and naming what was actually stopping her. We mapped a phased timeline inside Notion (test calls in August, seasonal cohorts starting fall, monthly newsletters with takeaways and prompts). We clarified the structure: small groups (5-10 people max), invitation-based to maintain intimacy, monthly Zoom calls with icebreakers and breakout rooms, optional recordings for those who miss calls.
We stripped away what didn't matter yet (the perfect logo, a full brand identity, competitor analysis) and focused on what did: a simple Google form to gauge interest, a welcoming intro message that set the tone, and reaching out to her five interested friends this week.
We talked through the emotional container she wanted to create (positive but not toxic, structured but not rigid, professional but not formal) and how to make people feel safe sharing about postpartum struggles, career pivots, and toddler tantrums on camera.
The result: permission to start imperfectly, a realistic first-step plan, and clarity that the community itself (not the branding) was the actual offering.
VISION
A working mom transitioning between roles who wanted to create something meaningful: a curated Zoom community for working mothers balancing careers, creativity, and caregiving.
She had the idea, five interested friends, and a deep understanding of what working moms need (adult conversation, shared experiences, space to vent and celebrate). But she was stuck on branding, overwhelmed by logistics, and second-guessing whether anyone would
actually show up.
